Royal Enfield launched a few all-new bikes in the recent past in the form of Interceptor and the Continental GT 650. Both the bikes are based on the new ‘P’ platform of Royal Enfield. However, the engine that powers the Royal Enfield 650 Twins are not BS-VI-ready. Siddhartha Lal, who is the bossman of the Eicher Group that owns the Royal Enfield brand said that no new bikes would be launched on the ‘P’ platform for the next two year. Post that, there will be a slew of bikes on the platform. Here are all the upcoming bikes that will be based on the ‘P’ platform and will be powered by the 650cc engine.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 650
The Himalayan 650 is one of the most-awaited bikes from the brand. The current version of Royal Enfield Himalayan draws power from an all-new LS410 engine, but most owners find the Himalayan underpowered. Royal Enfiled Himalayan 650 will be a perfect highway cruiser and will have enough ability to tame the rough roads too. It is likely to be showcased in early 2020 followed by an official launch later in that year.
Royal Enfield Classic 650
The Royal Enfield Classic is the best-selling bike above 300cc segment in India. The timeless design of the Classic makes it a perfect choice for many enthusiasts who want an iconic looking bike with modern day features. Classic 650 will keep the current design alive, but it will become bulkier regarding looks to look proportionate to the bigger engine. While the Royal Enfield Interceptor looks perfect in the segment, it lacks the iconic design of the Classic.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird is currently available with both 350cc and 500cc engine configurations. The relaxed riding position of the Thunderbird makes it an excellent bike for long-distance touring. The Thunderbird is the first choice of many long-distance riders, and it gets an iconic design too. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650 will offer the smooth parallel-twin engine for tireless highway mile munching.
Royal Enfield Scrambler 650
Royal Enfield will soon launch the scrambler, which is known as the Trials with its 350cc and 500cc engine in India. After the single-cylinder versions of the bike, Royal Enfield will launch the bigger Scrambler 650. The bike may get a minimalistic design with chopped off fenders and dual-purpose tyres. With the flat handlebar, the bike will get a very aggressive seating posture too. The Scrambler 650 will be a perfect choice for people who do city ride most of the time while taking them out on dirty track or off-roading every not and them.
Royal Enfield Bobber 650
Royal Enfield showcased the KX Concept last year, which is an all-new bobber styled bike with an 838cc engine. While the all-new 838cc Bobber is years away from the production line, Royal Enfield may launch a smaller version of the bike powered by the 650cc engine. The Bobber can be based on Classic but it may get minimalistic-treatment to it. The bike is expected to get kicked out footpegs, single-seat and a relaxed riding position.
