Check out the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in two new personalities

Royal Enfield has been lauded ever since the launch of its 650 twins in India. Almost everyone who has ridden the bike has nothing but praises for it and the company. All aside, the best part of the 650 twins is their pricing, which has really killed the game for others. The bikes have received a very good response from the buyers too. Talking about modifications and customizations, there are a handful of good mod examples of the 650 twins right now due to low availability of the bike. Meanwhile, render artist Rahul Manohar has come up with digital renderings of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 which show the bike in two different forms.

Gt 650 Mod

The first render showcases the design of an old school classic cafe racer with the front fairing. This type of bikes design was quite popular a few decades back and the render tries to recreate a similar aura. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a typical retro-modern cafe racer bike and with this front cowl, its appeal gets even more enhanced. Other changes on the bike include LED headlights and a USD front suspension setup. The rear seat has been replaced with a cowl which is available as a standard fitment from the company too. Though we don’t expect Royal Enfield to create anything like this soon, it would be really great to see this being factory made.

Gt 650 Mod 2

Moving onto the other render design in hand, this one takes a more modern approach towards the bike’s cafe racer traits. It is finished in the official Ravishing Red paint scheme by the company and the shiny exhaust pipes have been given a brushed treatment. USD front forks and all LED headlight mark their presence here too though the headlight casing this time is a circular unit with brushed metal garnishing around it. Bar end mirrors and gold finish on the fornt forks further add to its look. The lower mid part of the bike which contains the gearbox housing has been painted black to lent a more sporty feeling to this Continental GT 650. Various other bits across the bike’s body also receive black treatment to keep up with its sporty character.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is powered by a 647 cc, air-oil cooled, SOHC engine that churns out a good 47 Bhp of power along with 52 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission and also gets a slipper clutch. It is a completely new engine developed by the company yet and is also its most advanced engine too date. Starting at Rs. 2.65 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is one of the most value for money bikes currently on sale due to the sheer amount of bike you get for that sum.
