The Royal Enfield 650 Twins have been getting international attention due to their looks, value for money prospects, powerful engine and most importantly, the mod potential both the bikes show. While we have seen many great examples of modified Continental GT 650 in past, some of which was modified to reach speeds in excess of 300 km/h, here is another custom made Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 that looks as beautiful as it goes. These images here from Bike Exif certainly do justice to this build. The whole mod job has been done by Leicester based Sinroja Customs.
To let you know, it is owned by an NRI who goes by the name of Rahul Sinroja. Sinroja customs have previously worked on several other Royal Enfield bike mod projects too, including the mad Lock Stock. The ‘Two Smoking Barrels’, as it has been named, is a full-blown modified drag bike based on the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. This one, however, now has its engine bored out to 750 cc and produces much more power than the original bike’s output of 49 Bhp-52 Nm. The engine modification has been done with the help of parts provided by S&S performance, which can be bought by anyone who wants to enhance the performance of the 650 twins. Other performance bits that were changed on the bike include the injectors, cams, and the ECU.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT drag bike by Sinroja Customs also features a completely new body design. One of the important thing on this build that I would like to highlight is the custom made tank piece, which is an aluminium unit and whose tail end forms the seat pan. It is painted with white and black shade but look closely and you’ll find the Indian tricolour painted n one side along with the UK flag on the other side. This custom drag bike was made to run at the European Sultans of Sprint race series in the ‘Factory’ class, where its rivals would include several heavy weight.
Apart from the engine modification, this bike also features a unique dry nitrous system. The whole system has been tucked under the seat and provides immediate thrust when the need arises. Apart from all these performance modifications, this bike needed something more to beat 200 Bhp plus monsters that were going to run at the competition. So guys at Sinroja Customs took a dieting route. The stock Continental GT 650 weighs 205 kg but this one tips the scales around 150 kg, which makes it a rocket on the road. Every panel, nut-bolt and other bits have been replaced with lighter alternatives to bring down the weight.
To let you know, the Royal Enfield Continental GT drag bike by Sinroja Customs took gold at the Punks Peak hill climb at Wheels and Waves, which was its first outing. . In the Sultans of Sprint race, it missed the podium narrowly and came fourth. A hat’s tip to the ‘Two Smoking Barrels’ from our team as well as our readers.
