4 big unveils from Renault for the 2020 Auto Expo!

Renault India has revealed that there will be as many as 12 vehicles at their Auto Expo stall this year. The French manufacturer will showcase a wide range of vehicles including the upcoming range and current range. The manufacturer will unveil four very important vehicles for the Indian market that will be launched at a later date in the Indian market.

Renault HBC

The all-new Renault HBC will be one of the most important cars to be unveiled by the manufacturer at the 2020 Auto Expo. The all-new car based on the CMF-A platform that also underpins the all-new Triber will be the brand’s first sub-4m compact SUV in the market. The all-new HBC will take on the cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon in the Indian market. The all-new car will get styling similar to the Kwid and will offer a very value-for-money price tag. Renault is yet to reveal the engine details of the all-new HBC but it is likely to be powered by the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It will get a manual as well as an automatic AMT transmission option. Renault will launch the car later this year.

Renault Zoe EV

The electric vehicle is an important segment in India and it is currently warming up with new launches. After the top manufacturers like Hyundai, MG Motor and Tata launched their electric vehicles in the Indian market, Renault will launch the all-new Zoe EV hatchback. The all-new car will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and the car will be launched after getting customer feedback. It is likely to be launched by the end of 2020 or early 2021. The Zoe EV gets a 41 kWh battery pack that powers a 90 PS producing electric motor. The all-new car can do about 350 km on a full charge. It is likely to get a price tag of Rs 15 lakhs, which will make it one of the most expensive Renault vehicles in the Indian market.

Renault Triber

Renault will also showcase the new variants of the newly launched Triber in the Indian market. The all-new 7-seater car is quite unique and offers removable last row seats. However, the all-new Triber only gets a single engine option and transmission. All the variants of the Renault Triber are currently powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and get a manual transmission. The Triber will now get a new 1.0-litre turbocharged engine in the Indian market. Renault will also new variants of the Triber. More information will come next week.

Renault Kwid Electric

The Kwid Electric is already in production in the electric vehicle-heavy Chinese car market, and it’s only a matter of time before it’s introduced in India – a country where the hatchback made its debut. Renault India is expected to showcase the electric variant of the Kwid at the 2020 Auto Expo, possibly to gauge show-goer feedback. The car will be locally produced when it makes it debut in 2022, and is expected to get a very competitive price tag.
