TVS Apache RR 310 is the most expensive and the only fully faired bike from the Indian two wheeler manufacturer. Just other motorcycles and scooters in the segment, RR 310 also got an update in terms of the engine and is now BS6 compliant. The bike got launched recently and is now priced at Rs 2.4 lakh ex-showroom. Apart from the new BS6 compliant engine, the 2020 Apache RR 310 has a host of new features added to it. Here we have a video that explains the new addition to the motorcycle in a better way.

First thing that you would notice is the new paint job that the Apache gets. It is now available in the combination of matte grey and black with red accents which give the motorcycle a sporty look. Next major update that the motorcycle gets is the all-new colour TFT display. Status bar on the top portion of the display shows all the details like time, Bluetooth connection, phone network and status of radiator fan (whether it is on or off) and so on.

Other new feature that the new Apache gets is the four new riding modes. It has Urban Mode, Sport Mode, Rain Mode and Track Mode. The display on the TFT screen changes according to the riding mode that one chooses. For example, in Track Mode, the whole TFT screen will become red to notify rider which mode it actually is.

According the modes that rider chooses, the way the dual channel ABS behaves changes. for example in Rain mode, ABS interrupts the most and in Track mode, ABS does not interrupt that much. These modes can be selected on the go. The TFT display shows other information like low fuel indicator, side stand indicator, low battery, ABS malfunction, EMS malfunction and so on.

Other features that the new Apache gets is the customisable widgets, turn by turn navigation, ride statistics and so on. Apart from this pretty much everything remains unchanged on the 2020 Apache RR 310. it is still powered by the same 313-cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces 34 bhp and 273. Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle is now a tad heavier than its BS4 version, and weight has gone up by about 4 kilograms. The Apache 310 is TVS Motors’ flagship motorcycle, and could soon be joined by other similar displacement bikes. The same platform is likely to be used for new bikes, but with different body styles.
