MG Gloster vs Toyota Fortuner: Street presence compared on video

MG Motors India is all set to launch their fourth product Gloster in the market. Gloster is a full size SUV which will compete with cars like Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas, Isuzu MU-X in the segment. We recently got a chance to experience the new Gloster and if you want to check out our review on this new luxury full size SUV click here. As mentioned above, the Gloster competes with SUVs such as the Fortuner and Endeavour in the segment and here we have a video that compares street presence of MG Gloster with popular Toyota Fortuner.

The video has been uploaded by Mycarhelpline. com on their youtube channel. The video starts by showing both the SUVs parked next to each other. MG Gloster is without any doubt the winner here. Dimension wise, MG Gloster is way bigger than Toyota Fortuner and that is visible in the video. The Gloster looks and feels wider, longer and taller than that of the Fortuner.

The wide chrome grille at the front with silver accents give Gloster an imposing look. Fortuner looks dominating too but, the sheer size of the Gloster helps it gain people’s attention on road. The Fortuner look premium whereas the Gloster looks luxurious specially in this all black shade. In terms of size, Gloster is not only larger than Fortuner but also the Ford Endeavour.

The video then focuses on what all features are offered with Gloster. It will offer features like adaptive cruise control, Automatic Emergency braking, lane keep assist, touchscreen infotainment screen, drive modes, 4WD,  panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, ventilated seats with massage function for driver seat and so on. The cabin looks very plush and is wrapped in brown leather with brushed aluminium inserts.

The cabin feels quite spacious and offers a lot of comfort. The third row of seat however is only suitable for small children. Even with three row of seats up, Gloster can offer decent amount of boot space for couple of small trolley bags. It is powered by a 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel engine that generates 215 Bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque. MG will be announcing the prices soon. If they come up with a competitive price tag, there is a chance that the Gloster may pose a big threat to the likes of Fortuner and Endeavour.
