The video has been uploaded by Mahindra on Thar’s Youtube channel. Thar is one such vehicle that is made to conquer any terrain. While doing off-road, it is quite possible that some amount of mud might get into the car. The new Thar comes with a washable interiors what this means is that, if the interiors of car like floor get dirty, one can directly wash it down and the water that fills inside can easily be drained out by pulling a plug on the floor.
The Mahindra Thar also comes with IP54 rated interiors which are actually drizzle resistant. So if in case, some drops of water fall on to the steering wheel, touchscreen or even the speaker, they’ll all be fine.
The all-new Mahindra Thar has grown in size and is now longer and wider than the older version. What this means is that it offers a lot more space on the inside. It is now available with both front facing side facing rear seat options. The Thar is now available with a petrol engine for the first time. It is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine that generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
A diesel engine is also available and that is a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine generating 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox options which is again a fist for the all-new Mahindra Thar. Mahindra has started accepting bookings for the new Thar and is expected to start the deliveries later next month.
