Mahindra Thar has been one of the mast awaited launches from Mahindra this year. It has been a topic of discussion since it was unveiled a couple of months ago. Mahindra has now officially started delivery of Thar and some of them as expected have also started modifying them. In couple of weeks time, we have seen number of images of modified new Mahindra Thar. Here we have one such all-new Mahindra Thar, that has been modified with a range of aftermarket accessories. These accessories have enhanced the butch look of Thar and also help it performs off-road activities in a better manner.

The pictures of this modified Thar has been posted on 4×4 India Facebook group. The Thar seen in the images has the convertible top and comes with front facing rear seats. Starting at the front, stock bumper on the Thar has been removed and replaced with an aftermarket off-road friendly unit made of mild steel. The bumper gets a matte black paint job and that has totally enhanced the look of this SUV from the front. The original fog lamps are now integrated inside this new bumper with LED bulbs.

This new bumper will definitely affect the working of airbags but, the post mentions that they will soon be coming with a new bumper that does not affect the functioning of airbags. Apart from this aftermarket bumper, there is a 10,000 lbs steel rope winch and an aluminium skid plate which is lightweight but sturdy. This has improved the approach angle and also protects the radiator during off-road.

Other changes at the front are the new LED headlamps. The lights perfectly fit and it does not affect the warranty as no wires were cut to install this. Apart from that there is a tow ball mounted to the chassis at the rear. it can easily be taken down when not in use. This Thar also gets BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres and a grab handle has also been installed on the A-pillar inside.

Mahindra Thar is now offers more features and space on the inside. It comes with front facing seats, drizzle resistant touchscreen infotainment screen, roof mounted speakers, multi function steering wheel and so on.
