Royal Enfield has been teasing us with pictures and videos of their all-new cruiser motorcycle Meteor 350. The hide and seek game has now finally come to an end as Royal Enfield has now officially launched Meteor 350 in the market. It will compete with recently launched Honda CB350 H’Ness and Jawa in the segment. Prices for the Meteor 350 motorcycle start at Rs 1.75 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 1.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The Meteor 350 is an all-new motorcycle and comes with several features that were seen in a Royal Enfield before.
The overall look of Meteor 350 does remind us of old Thunderbird but, the similarity ends there. Royal Enfield has build this motorcycle from scratch and get an all-new frame. Meteor is the first RE motorcycle to be built on the new J-platform. It still has that retro charm that we have seen in other Royal Enfield motorcycles in the past. The Meteor 350 gets a neo retro design with features like round headlamps with LED DRL ring in it, alloy wheel with silver accents, dual channel ABS, chrome finished exhaust pipe with tapered.

As mentioned above, Royal Enfield Meteor comes with number of features that are never seen in any other RE’s. The instrument cluster for instance is a twin pod unit which is a combination of both analog and digital meters. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity which shows turn by turn navigation and displays call and music information. The suspension setup and the engine is also a new unit which Royal Enfield says is more refined.
The handle bars are wide and switches used on the bike are also different from the one seen in other bikes. It gets a split seat which provides a relaxed riding position to the rider. It gets a chunky looking fuel tank with Royal Enfield badge on it. The Meteor 350 badging can be seen on the side panel of the bike. Both front and rear get black fenders and the turn indicators and number plate are position very low on this bike. The tail lamp is small round halogen unit that is placed in the rear fender.
There is not a lot of chrome on the motorcycle which actually looks good. It will be available in both monotone and dual tone colours depending upon the trims. The Meteor is available in three trims – Fireball (Rs 1.75 lakh), Stellar ( Rs 1.81 lakh) and Supernova (Rs 1.90 lakh). It is powered by a 349-cc, single cylinder, 20.2 Bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is already available at the dealerships across the country and the bookings have also started from today. It is available with a 3 year standard warranty with variety of customisation options and maintenance packages.
