American automobile manufacturer Jeep had already announced that they will be officially launching the facelifted 2021 version of Compass SUV on 7 January 2021. The official launch is just a week away and the facelifted Compass was spotted on our roads. The SUV was spotted testing with heavy camouflage several times but, this is the first time we are seeing it undisguised. The spy image even shows how the interior of the upcoming Jeep Compass would look like.
The spy pictures have been shared by Shifting-Gears.com. The upcoming SUV was spotted in a new metallic green colour. It is the same colour that we had seen in the images that was earlier shared by Jeep online. There are couple of new things in the 2021 Jeep Compass that you would notice. Starting with the headlamp, even though it has the same design as before, it now has a full LED setup with LED DRL. The pre-facelift version used to come with turn indicators on the bumper but, in this 2021 version, only LED fog lamps are seen here. It seems like the DRLs are dual function units which act as turn indicator as well.

Coming down, you notice the bumper which has also received a new design. it now looks a lot more muscular than before. There is a lip like extension on the bottom of the bumper with a silver coloured skid plate. The side profile of the SUV reveals the new set of alloy wheels. Other than that, there is a chrome window line that is running from A pillar to the rear of the car. Apart from that no major changes can be seen on the side profile. The rear section of the car has chrome garnish below the rear glass and the LED tail lamps look exactly the same as older version.
On the inside, there are couple of new things. The whole cabin has been revamped and the Compass now gets a newly designed steering wheel. It still has control switches and a Jeep logo on it. Another update is the new touchscreen infotainment screen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The dashboard now looks a lot more premium than before. It has tan coloured leather inserts with black soft touch materials on top. The push button to Start and Stop button is also seen in the pictures along with auto-dimming IRVM.
The dual zone climate control switches and other controls have also been slightly revised to give a fresh look. There is a redesigned gear lever and an MID as well. Just like the dashboard, seats also get tan coloured leather upholstery . The Compass definitely looks a lot more premium from inside. Jeep will be offering the Compass SUV in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol version is available with a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 163 Ps and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox option. The diesel version uses a 2.0 litre turbocharged unit that generates 173 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. This is available with a manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
