Toyota launched the facelifted version of their popular 7-seater SUV Fortuner in the market earlier this year. Along with the normal Fortuner, the manufacturer also introduced a much more sportier or premium looking Legender version in the market. The Fortuner has always been a popular SUV among off-road enthusiasts and we have seen several modified versions of the SUV in the past. Unlike the regular Fortuner, the Legender only comes with a diesel engine and 2WD with an automatic transmission in India. Now, we have India’s first modified Toyota Fortuner Legender and what makes it different from the regular ones is the wheels. It rides on massive 24 inch alloy wheels.
The pictures of this modified Toyota Fortuner has been published by monga_tyres on their Instagram page. The main modification seen on this Fortuner Legender is the wheels. Fortuner Legender comes with an 18-inch alloy wheel as standard. The one seen in the images rides on 24 inch Plati alloy wheels. The chrome plated alloy wheels totally enhance the look of the SUV. It gives it a premium look but, personally we feel that the owner may have overdone it a bit.

The 24 inch wheels with low profile tyres will definitely affect the ride quality on the SUV now. Other than the massive 24 inch alloy wheels, no other modifications have been made to the SUV. In comparison to the regular Fortuner there are some elements that sets Legender apart. All the chrome bits on the Fortuner have been blacked out to give it a sportier look. The Legender gets a split front grille with a large lower air dam.

The bumper on the Legender looks a lot more sharp and sporty than Fortuner. The turn indicators are mounted on the lower part of the bumper. The headlights are sleek as Fortuner but, Legender gets dual projector LED units with a different looking LED DRLs. The other thing that differentiates Legender from Fortuner is its dual tone paint job. Overall design of the Legender is the same as Fortuner with different looking alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the chrome applique on the boot has been blacked out.
The bumper has been redesigned and it gets an L-shaped black colour insert with integrated reflector lamp in it. In terms of features, Legender offers powered tail gate that is missing on Fortuner. On the inside, Legender gets similar looking cabin as the Fortuner. The colour scheme is different here. It gets red and black interior to enhance the sporty nature of the SUV. Other than that, just like Fortuner, Legender also gets features like updated infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 11 speaker system from JBL, connected cat features and so on.
Legender also offers Ventilated seats, wireless charging and ambient lighting. As mentioned above, the Fortuner Legender is available with a diesel engine only. It is powered by the 2.8 litre diesel engine that generates 204 Ps and 500 Nm of peak torque. The Legender is the top-end model and is available with an automatic transmission only.
