2021 Kia Sonet
With the new Sonet, Kia has introduced new variants too. Earlier this month, Kia announced the discontinuation of two trims from the Sonet line-up. The HTK Plus 1.0 Petrol DCT and the HTK Plus 1.5 diesel AT. Kia has replaced these trims with four new variants – HTX 1.0 petrol it, HTX 1.5 diesel MT, HTX 1.0 DCT petrol and HTX 1.5 diesel AT.
Kia has also added new features in the HTX variant. The trim will now get multiple new features including traction control and dual-tone alloys as standard. The HTX DCT petrol variant also gets Hill Climb Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and multiple driving modes that will change the accelerator input among other things in the car.
The lower variants of the Sonet also get additional safety features now. The HTX already offers features like automatic LED headlamps, projector fog lamps, LED front and rear DRL, ORVM with integrated turn indicators, sunroof, keyless start-stop and go, cruise control system, remote engine start, dual-tone beige-black cabin, leatherette steering wheel and gear knob, rear armrest, adjustable rear headrest and ISOFIX mounts.
The new Kia Sonet HTX DCT petrol will be positioned between the existing variants – HTK Plus and GTX Plus. The diesel automatic option, which was only available with the HTK+ and GTX+ will now be available with the HTX variant. This will offer more choice to the buyers.
