Mahindra is currently working on several new products. One of them is the next generation XUV500 which will be known as XUV700. The XUV700 is going to be a 7-seater SUV which will be launched in the market in second half of 2021. The SUV has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage several times. We have also seen several digitally rendered images of the SUV on the internet and some of them have been featured on our website as well. XUV700 when launched might become the flagship SUV as they might soon discontinue the Alturas G4. Here we have a render image that shows how the SUV might actually look like.
The render image has been shared by fallen_3377 on Instagram. The render is inspired by some of the spy pictures and the current generation XUV500. Starting with the front, XUV700 render image gets a decent sized front grille with multiple vertical slats in it. The grille is actually similar to the current generation XUV500. There is a thick gloss black strip that joins the headlamps. The headlamp itself is an all-new unit. It gets a large C-shaped twin LED DRL that flows down to the bumper of the car.
XUV700 gets twin projector headlamps probably LED units. As per the render image, the fog lamps are placed on the lower part of the bumper with plastic garnish around it. The bumper itself has been redesigned and there is a lip spoiler at the bottom as well. Coming to the side profile, the main difference here is the new sporty looking machine cut dual tone alloy wheels. There is a black cladding on the wheel arches and around the car.

Just like the current generation XUV500, the XUV700 render also has a kink towards the rear and on the roof there are roof rails as well. XUV700 will also be getting flush fitting door handles and it will be the first vehicle to get this feature in this segment. The render also shows a glimpse of how the rear of the upcoming XUV700 might look like. It is a sleek looking split LED unit and there is a roof mounted spoiler as well. The LED bumper looks redesigned with chrome plated exhaust tips and rear fog lamps on it.
In terms of features, XUV700 will be a lot more better than the current genXUV500. The muscular looking SUV is expected to offer more space than the outgoing XUV500. It will come with dual digital screen setup on dashboard. One of them will be the instrument cluster whereas the other will be the infotainment screen.
Mahindra is also expected to offer features like leather wrapped seats and steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control AC, Hill Hold Assist, Traction Control, ESP and many more. Mahindra XUV700 will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. It will be powered by a 2.0 litre mStallion turbo petrol engine and a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine. Both engine options are expected to come with manual and automatic gearbox options. Mahindra might also offer 4WD system as an option in some variants.
