Royal Enfield launched the Meteor 350 last year and it has received a very good response from the enthusiasts and the customers. Currently, the Meteor 350 goes against the Honda H’ness. However, Royal Enfields main rival is Jawa which also makes retro looking motorcycles. Jawa’s flagship motorcycle is the Perak which is a Bobber and currently, it is the only Bobber available in our country. So, an artist by the name nomadic__16__design on Instagram decided to convert the Meteor 350 into a Bobber.
The bobber styling on the Meteor does look quite attractive. The variant that the artist has modified is the Supernova which is the top-end variant. The artist has carried forwarded the side body panels, handlebar, the windshield, turn indicators, the headlight, engine and the fuel tank from the stock Meteor 350.
We can see the front of the motorcycle looks quite similar except for the fact it is running on spoke wheels with knobby tyres. Then we can see the same teardrop fuel tank that is finished in a dual-tone paint scheme with Royal Enfield badging on it.

The engine is blacked out which looks really good and the exhaust pipes are similar to the one found on the Interceptor 650. The stock exhausts on the Meteor are finished in chrome or matte black depending on the variant. Also, they are not up-swept like we see in the rendering instead they are straight piped. Royal Enfield now also offers their own exhausts that are road legal.
Then we can see the single floating seat finished in brown. At the rear, now there is a single mono-shock that is cleverly hidden underneath the seat. The stock rear suspension comes with twin-tube shock absorbers with 6-steps of adjustable preload. The circular brake light has been installed on the rear fender. The render is missing out on the rear turn indicators. There is also no number plate holder visible in the render. It is possible that it has been shifted to the left side.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350
The Meteor 350 is available in three variants. The base variant is known as Fireball. It starts at Rs. 1.80 lakhs ex-showroom. Then there is the Steller which costs Rs. 1.86 lakhs ex-showroom. The top-end variant is the Supernova which costs Rs. 1.95 lakhs ex-showroom.
It comes with a 349 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder long-stroke engine which features a counter balancer to iron out vibrations. It produces 20.2 bhp of max power and a torque of 27 Nm. It is mated to a slick-shifting 5-speed manual gearbox.
Jawa Perak
The Perak is offered in a single variant and a single paint scheme which is matte black-grey. It is priced at Rs. 1.99 lakhs ex-showroom. Being a bobber it does not have any direct competition as of now. It has a single seat and twin exhausts despite being a single-cylinder engine. However, it is a more modern engine as it features liquid cooling and is 334 cc. The engine produces 30 bhp of max power and 31 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. So, it is more powerful than the Meteor 350 but it is also a lot less practical.
