Tata Harrier is one of the best looking mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design language has worked really well on the Harrier. It looks like a proper SUV with butch looks and an aggressive stance. Here, is a rendering of a Tata Harrier that has been given a Slammed Widebody kit. A lot of bodywork has been redesigned on the rendering of the Harrier. It has undergone a chrome delete which means there is no chrome on the bodywork except for the Tata badge and the Harrier badge. It looks like the Dark Edition of the Harrier as the black shade is identical found on the Dark Edition.
There is a faux skid plate in the lower half of the bumper. The interesting thing is that the skid plate is finished in chrome. The front grille and the headlamps surrounds are also finished in black. We can see the flared wheel arches. This is where the widebody kit is implemented.

At the side profile, there are 6-spoke alloy wheels finished in black which run on very wide tyres. We can also see the red brake callipers. There is also a roof box mounted on the roof that can store luggage for the occupants.
The rear also gets the wide-body modification. So, the rear LED tail lamps to look a bit different from the stock Harrier. The chrome faux skid plate can also be seen on the rear bumper. It seems like it also features some kind of tech like air suspension to lower the suspension. Overall, the design of the wide body kit does look very aggressive and attractive on the Harrier.
The Harrier received quite a major update last year that really helped in attracting more sales numbers. In fact, the combined sales numbers of the Harrier and Safari for April’21 were more than the combined sales number of MG Hector and the Hector Plus. Both the SUVs also go against other mid-size SUVs such as Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun.
The Harrier is offered only with a single diesel engine. It is a 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that produces 170 PS of max power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The Harrier starts at Rs. Rs. 13.99 lakhs ex-showroom and goes upto Rs. 20.45 lakhs ex-showroom.
Tata offers a very good equipment list with the Harrier. It comes with a huge panoramic sunroof, 5-inch TFT screen with an analogue speedometer, JBL sound system, auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, projector headlamps, electrical adjustment for the driver seat, push-button to start/stop, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a lot more. The Harrier also comes with a lot of safety features. There is Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control, Roll Over Mitigation, Corner Stability Control, Brake Disc Wiping, ABS with EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, Off-road ABS, Hill Descent Control and up to 6 airbags.
