Earlier, we covered that Amitabh Bachchan’s former Rolls Royce and 17 other exotic vehicles have been seized by Bengaluru RTO. The vehicle list included Audi R8, Jaguar XJ L, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Porsche, Ferrari and few others. The reasons for seizing the vehicles were different for every vehicle and they were parked at Yelahanka RTO. The Rolls Royce now has been released on payment of Rs. 5,500 as a fine.
The vehicle was seized because of a lack of proper documents. It was missing a pollution certificate and the insurance has also lapsed. It is a Rolls Royce Phantom finished in white colour with a fancy number plate MH 02 BB 2.
The vehicle is still registered in the name of Amitabh Bachchan. A person named Salman Khan was caught driving the luxury vehicle when it was seized. Salman failed to present the produce the documents of the vehicle. The Rolls Royce also was not covered by insurance.

The total fine was Rs. 5,500 which consisted of Rs. 3,000 for not having a pollution certificate, Rs. 2,000 for not having an insurance policy and Rs. 5oo for not having a registration certificate. “We took risks and seized these cars without any documents, but senior officials released them due to pressure from the top. We are demoralised. A vehicle is not permitted to ply with another state registration number beyond 11 months from the date of migration” said an RTO official.
“We did our duty. The owners failed to produce documents so we seized the cars. I don’t have any information on the release of cars.” Narendra Holkar, additional transport commissioner. It is being said that one owner has to pay Rs. 30 lakhs to get the vehicle released.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Rolls Royce
This is a Rolls Royce Phantom that was gifted to Amitabh Bachchan by filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was given on the success of the film Eklavya in 2007. The car was then sold to Yusuf Shariff alias D Babu of Umrah Developers in 2019. In those days, the vehicles cost Rs. 3.5 Crores before any customizations.
Other vehicles
Amitabh Bachchan owns a lot of exotic luxury cars. He has a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Toyota Camry, Mini Cooper, Audi A8L, Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-Benz V-Class even a humble Toyota Innova Crysta and many more. He is also a fan of big SUVs. So, he owns a Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 that is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 diesel engine that churns out 262 bhp of max power along with 650 Nm of peak torque.
He also owns a Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography LWB. The SUV is powered by a 4.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 345 bhp of power and 740 Nm of torque. It was priced at around Rs. 2.8 crores back when it was new.
There is also an LX 570 in the garage of Amitabh Bachchan. It is the flagship SUV from Lexus. It is powered by a turbocharged 5.7-litre V8 diesel engine that produces 362 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 530 Nm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that transfers the power to all the four wheels.
