Tata launched the all-new Punch micro SUV in the market earlier this month. The micro SUV has already started arriving at the dealership and deliveries for the same has also started. Tata Punch is a micro SUV that competes with cars like Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Ignis in the segment. Due to its SUV like looks, it is even compared with sub-4 meter SUVs at times. A detailed review about the Tata Punch and its fuel efficiency are available on our website. Here we have a video where a person explain why he chose to book Tata Punch micro SUV over Tata Nexon or Hyundai Venue.
The video has been uploaded by Motor Torsion on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks to a customer who recently had driven Tata Punch and is planning to buy one. The vlogger starts by asking the customer why he finalised Tata Punch. The customer said that main reason behind this decision was safety. After the Global NCAP crash test results have come out, Tata Punch is the most safest car in the country and that has given him a lot of confidence.

He said safety of the occupants of the car is of utmost importance and that is why he chose this. Second reason why he chose Tata Punch was the looks. The micro SUV has a dominating look as its design in inspired from Tata Harrier and Nexon. Although it is a micro SUV, it can give competition to SUVs a segment above in terms of looks. The owner had driven the SUV and found that the ride quality was good and the NVH levels in the cabin were also not much. The customer was also impressed with the engine and said it had enough punch in it. By opting for Tata Punch he can also save around Rs 2 lakh and that has also been a factor in this decision.
He said, Tata Punch is offering decent amount of space on the inside and it can easily seat 4 adults and a child in it. The customer said he will be buying the Adventure version which is one above the base Pure variant. The customer already has other cars in his garage and is planning to buy this as second car for city usage. As Tata Punch is smaller in dimensions, it can easily handle the congested roads. The only complaint he had about the Punch was that he felt that there was not enough power available when the car is shifted to second gear.
top-end variant of Tata Punch offers features like a floating type touchscreen, cruise control, semi-digital instrument cluster, height adjustable seats, 16 inch alloy wheels and so on. Prices for Tata Punch start at Rs 5.49 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 9.09 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV is powered by a 1.2 litre, three cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 86 Ps and 113 Nm of torque. This engine is also offered in Tiago and Altroz. In Punch this engine is available with both manual and AMT gearbox option.
