Ducati Streetfighter V4 S
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 S has launched in India in 2021 as the premium Italian motorcycle brand’s most expensive and top-of-the-line roadster model. Priced at Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is essentially a naked version of the brand’s flagship supersport motorcycle, the Panigale V4 S.
At the front, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S gets a sleek looking all-LED headlamp with eyebrow-like daytime running LED in place of a full fairing of the Panigale V4 S. It also gets winglets at the front, which are attached with the radiator covers and side body panels, thus making it the first-ever naked roadster in the world to get winglets for enhancing aerodynamics at higher speeds. The heightened tail section, fuel tank, and other panels towards the rear have been shared with the Panigale V4 S.
Powering the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is a liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree 1103cc V4 engine from the Panigale V4 S. However, for the Streetfighter, the engine has been re-tuned, which results in different performance outputs – 208 bhp of maximum power and 123 Nm of peak torque output. These numbers do make the Streetfighter V4 S the most powerful road-legal roadster in the world.
Chassis from supersport Panigale
The basic chassis under the skin of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is the same as that of the Panigale V4 S. The motorcycle gets an Ohlins-sourced suspension combination of 43mm upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a TTX36 mono-shock at the rear, both of which are fully electronically adjustable through Ohlins smart EC 2.0 event-based mode. For bringing the motorcycle to a halt, Ducati has equipped it with dual 330mm disc brakes at the front and a single 245mm disc brake at the rear, which get premium Brembo Stylema calipers.
In terms of electronic riding aids and other features, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is power-packed with equipment like a 4.3-inch full-TFT instrument console, cornering ABS EVO, three riding modes (Race, sport, street), Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control Evo 2, Ducati up-and-down quick-shifter EVO 2, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Lap Timer GPS, Ducati Electronic Suspension EVO, Ducati Multimedia System and Ducati Data Analyzer+ GPS.
Currently, the Streetfighter V4 S is the most premium variant of the motorcycle, positioned above the standard version, which is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh. However, the lineup is soon going to be added with a more affordable Streetfighter V2 and a new range-topping variant called Streetfighter V4 SP.
