7 new cars & SUVs launching in February 2022: Maruti Baleno Facelift to Kia Carens

We have seen some new car launches in January. Now, February is here and we know that there will be 7 new cars and SUVs that will be launching. Today, we list them all down.

Audi Q7

Audi Q7 will be the first launch to happen in February. It will be launched on February 3rd. The exterior and the interior have been heavily updated. Audi is already accepting bookings through their website and dealerships. It will be sold in two variants namely, Premium Plus and Technology. Audi has also updated the engine and now it will come with a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 340 PS of max power and 500 Nm of peak torque. It will come mated to an 8-speed manual gearbox that will drive all the four wheels using Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive technology. Audi Q7 will go against Volvo XC90, Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.

Kia Carens

Kia unveiled the Carens last year in December and they opened the bookings on 14th January. The Carens will be the fourth vehicle by Kia in the Indian market. It will be offered in five variants. There will be Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. Being a Kia, it will be feature equipped. Carens will be offered in three engine options. There will be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Once launched, Carens will compete against the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, Maruti Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari.

Maruti Suzuki Facelifted Baleno

Maruti Suzuki is also working on the facelifted version of the Baleno. The design has started to show its age now as the competitors now come with a lot more features and also look modern. The exterior would look sharper and the interior would also be updated with a new design. Maruti Suzuki has already started the production of the 2022 Baleno at the Gujarat plant.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk

Jeep updated the Compass last year, now they are preparing to launch the Trailhawk version of the Compass. It is a more off-road focused version of the Compass. The SUV has already been spotted doing high altitude testing. The design of the SUV has been updated, it now gets all the elements of the Compass facelift. However, there are different bumpers to improve off-road angles.

Mini Cooper SE

The Cooper SE is the first vehicle from Mini. It looks like the standard three-door Cooper but is powered by a battery. It will come to India as a CBU in one fully loaded variant. The bookings of the Cooper SE started in October and the first lot has already been sold out.

MG ZS EV Facelift

The ZS EV has been doing quite well in the Indian market. MG launched the facelifted ZS EV last year in the global market. Now, they will be launching it in the Indian market. It will now look like the Astor which was launched last year in our country. The ZS EV will continue to compete against the Hyundai Kona Electric which is also due for a facelift.

Lexus NX350h

Lexus might not sell as well as its German rivals, but it does stand out of the crowd and has a road presence. The manufacturer opened bookings for the NX350h recently. It will be sold in three variants and a single petrol engine. The NX350h will compete against Volvo XC60, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace and BMW X3.
