Adding another milestone in the illustrious journey of the XUV700, Mahindra has announced that it has delivered 14,000 units of the SUV across India till January 26th, 2022. The remarkable achievement has been made possible in just two and a half months since the deliveries of the Mahindra XUV700 began in the first week of November 2021.

Mahindra launched the XUV700 with much fanfare in September 2021, though the official deliveries began only after a month. The XUV700 received massive public interest, as a result of which Mahindra received around 70,000 bookings of the SUV within a few weeks. At the time of the price announcement, Mahindra had promised to deliver 14,000 units of XUV700 by January 26th, 2022.

Due to the immense demand and ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips, the Mahindra XUV700 started commanding a waiting period. In the current times, the waiting period of some of the variants of the XUV700 is extending to around 19 months in some places. In addition to this, Mahindra hiked the prices of the XUV700 by up to Rs 1 lakh in January 2022, with the price hike varying for different variants.
2021 Mahindra XUV700

The Mahindra XUV700 came in as a replacement for the ageing XUV500. Available in five and seven-seater versions, the Mahindra XUV700 is offered in several variants across five trim levels – MX3, AX3, AX5, AX7 and AX7 Luxury Pack.
Two powertrain options have been made available for the Mahindra XUV700 – 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel. While the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine pumps out a maximum power output of 185 PS and 420 Nm (450 Nm for automatic variants). The transmission options available for the Mahindra XUV700 are 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. In addition, the Mahindra XUV700 is also available with an all-wheel-drive in a single AX7 Luxury Pack for diesel-automatic powertrain as an option.
The Mahindra XUV700 was launched with some very cool and premium features, like all-LED headlamps,18-inch machined alloy wheels, flus-type electric door handles and a panoramic sunroof. It also gets a dual-screen cockpit with two 10.25-inch full-TFT screens for instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charger, powered driver’s seat and leather upholstery.
The Mahindra XUV700 gets the best-in-class safety feature list, with the SUV having a range of ADAS functions, hill descent control, hill hold assist, electronic stability program, electronic parking brake, seven airbags, drive modes and driver drowsiness detection system.
