This Toyota Land Cruiser is actually an extremely-modified Isuzu MU-7 SUV [Video]

We have seen several modification and conversion jobs in and outside India. Some of the modification jobs are executed so neatly that people hardly recognise the original or the donor vehicle. There are bad examples of the same available in the market as well. We have featured several conversion projects and here we have one such video where a Isuzu MU-7 7-seater has been completely transformed into a Land Cruiser luxury SUV.

The video has been uploaded by MAGNETO 11 (Punit Sharma) on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the modifications that are made to the SUV to a make it look like a Land Cruiser. The Isuzu MU-7 SUV has been transformed into Land Cruiser LC200 SUV. The transformation is actually quite immense and it does not looks like an Isuzu anymore.

Starting with the front, the bonnet, front grille, headlamps have all been replaced with Land Cruiser units. The bumper on this SUV is actually a fibre unit which is specially made for this SUV. The fog lamps on this SUV are projector units and the car comes with projector LED fog lamps and there are LED lights installed on the fender as well. There custom made flared wheel arches which get a design inspired from original Land Cruiser.

The SUV gets a 22 inch aftermarket alloy wheels and tyres but, for some reason they look small on the SUV. The side body panels, doors have also been redesigned to make it look like a Land Cruiser. The rear quarter panel on the Isuzu needed major change as it was not looking like a Land Cruiser. This portion was fabricated and redesigned to give it a boxy look with large rear quarter window for third row passenger.

The rear gets a custom made bumper just like at the front. Instead of the fibre it is made from metal. The rear window, tail gate and tail lamps are also borrowed from a Toyota Land Cruiser. There are Land Cruiser badging chrome applique on the tailgate as well. The work on this SUV has not finished yet and the vlogger can be heard saying that it will get a rear windshield wiper and a roof mounted spoiler as well.

Getting in, the interior of this Isuzu has been completely transformed or customised. The cabin gets a white and brown dual tone theme. It is however not the best looking interior that we have seen in a SUV. The seats get ultra soft seat cover with leather wrapped dashboard and steering wheel. The roof gets diamond stitched roof liners and there are roof mounted speakers which look very odd.

The door panels gets soft touch and hydro dipped plastic panels in them. An aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system has been installed in the SUV which also shows feed from front and rear parking cameras. The exterior work on this SUV looks very neat and it can easily fool a person who is not interested in cars. Although the work done on this SUV looks decent, it still misses out on something which the original Land Cruiser offers. The amount of effort that was put into this project is commendable. The time taken to convert this Isuzu to Land Cruiser was around 4 months and the total cost of this conversion was 14 lakh.
