We have seen many vloggers till now who have bought a new vehicle using coins. Here, we have a man from Tamil Nadu who decided to buy a Bajaj Dominar using 1 Rs. coins through the Bajaj showroom located in Salem. The on-road cost of Bajaj Dominar is Rs. 2.6 lakhs.

The name of the person is V Boopathi and he is 29 years old. He is a YouTuber and works as a computer operator in a private company. He has been saving one-rupee coins for the past three years. According to the media report, Boopathi would often exchange his currency notes for one-rupee coins at temples, tea stalls and hotels.

In an interview with Times Of India, Boopathi said, “I didn’t have so much money at the time. I decided to save money from the revenue earned from the YouTube channel. I recently inquired about the cost of the bike and learned that it was 2.6 lakh on-road now. And I had the amount this time,”
Showroom manager, Mahavikranth first refused to accept the coins but then gave in because he did not want to disappoint Boopathi. In an interview with Times Of India, Mahavikranth said, “The banks would charge 140 as commission for counting 1lakh (in 2000 rupee denomination). How will they accept it when we give them Rs 2.6 lakh in one-rupee coins?” The showroom took 10 hours to count the full amount
Not the first incident
Before this, a man decided to buy a Mahindra Bolero with sacks of coins. The SUV costs around Rs. 12 lakhs. In February, we covered a vlogger who paid for a Suzuki Avenis using coins. However, he did not pay the full amount. Rs. 22,000 was paid using coins and the rest was paid through financing.
Bajaj Dominar 400
The Dominar 400 is the flagship motorcycle from Bajaj. The homegrown manufacturer also updated the motorcycle last year. They added some touring accessories to the motorcycle because most of the buyers of the Dominar 400 were using the motorcycle for touring.
They added a tall visor to protect the rider from windblast when the rider is riding on highways. There are also knuckle guards to protect the brake and the clutch levers in case the bike falls. The knuckle guards also protect the hands of the rider from cold winds. There is also a bash plate that will protect the rider from stones and rocks while riding.
The leg guard has also been updated that will protect the rider and the motorcycle. A rear carrier has also been installed to store luggage and an integrated backrest for comfort for the pillion. Bajaj now also offers saddle stays and four bungee straps that will help in mounting luggage. Moreover, there is a new USB port that comes installed from the factory, that will help to charge mobile devices on the go.
The engine stays the same. So, it is a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DTS-i engine. It puts out 40 PS of max power and 35 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
