Mahindra launched Thar in 2020 and ever since then, it has been a popular SUV among off-road community. Last year when they launched the all-new XUV700, they also unveiled Mahindra’s new logo. The new twin peak logo was seen in XUV700 first and it also made its way to other SUVs like Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic. Mahindra will be integrating the new logo into their new products and also the existing ones. It looks like the next SUV from Mahindra to get the Twin Peak logo is Thar 4×4. A video of 2022 Mahindra Thar with the new logo has now surfaced online and this what it looks like.
The video has been uploaded by Yash9w on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the changes that are there in the 2022 model of Mahindra Thar. He starts by showing the front-end of the SUV. The car gets several an all-black bumper instead of a dual-tone unit. Mahindra did this just before the launch of Scorpio N. Thar badging is still there on the bumper but it is now all black. The headlamps, LED DRLs, turn indicators and Mahindra badge on the front grille remain the same as before.

As person who would see Thar on the road won’t even notice that it is the 2022 version. As we come to the side profile, you start noticing the differences. The old Mahindra logo from the wheels have been replaced with the new ones. The key fob on this Mahindra Thar is also similar to what we see on other Mahindras. It also gets the new logo on it. Other than the 18 inch alloy wheels, the new logo cannot be seen anywhere else on the Thar. As we move in, there is new Mahindra logo on the steering wheel too. Apart from the addition of this new Twin peak logo, nothing has changed about the Mahindra Thar.
In terms of dimensions, the Thar remains the same. The SUV seen here in the video is an LX hard top variant which is the top-end version. The SUV comes with features like 18 inch alloy wheels from factory, touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, soft top, soft top convertible roof options, roof mounted speakers that are drizzle resistant and so on. There are several areas inside and outside the car that remind you that it is a Thar not a regular car. Mechanically also Mahindra Thar remains the same. It is available with a 2.2 litre turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of maximum torque. The petrol version uses a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion engine which generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of maximum torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic transmission options. 4×4 is offered as a standard feature. Mahindra is also working on a 5-door version of Mahindra Thar which would be a lot more practical than the current version. A Mahindra Bolero with the twin peak logo was also spotted testing recently.
