First Toyota Innova HyCross delivery in India [Video]

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced the prices for their all-new Innova Hycross MPV in December last year. The showrooms had started accepting bookings for the MPV soon after the unveil in November. Shortly after that, the MPV had started arriving at the dealerships too. Although Toyota Innova Hycross had reached dealerships and stockyards, deliveries for this premium MPV had not started yet. Toyota has now officially started delivering the Innova Hycross MPV to customers and a delivery video of the same has also surfaced online. This is probably the first video of Innova Hycross delivery from India.

The video has been uploaded by Nilansh Desai on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see a white colour Toyota Innova Hycross MPV parked outside a dealership. The customers who bought the MPV can be seen next to it as well. As part of the delivery, the dealership had probably arranged fireworks and a celebration which can be seen on the bonnet of the car.

As per the video, the customers have opted for the VX variant of the Hycross MPV. This is actually the self charging or the strong hybrid variant. Toyota does not offer the VX variant with regular petrol version. The regular petrol version is available in G and GX variants. The strong hybrid version comes in VX, ZX and ZX(O) variants. The VX variant is available with 7 seater and 8 seater options. The 7 seater verison is priced at Rs 24.01 lakh, ex-showroom and the 8-seater variant is priced at Rs 24.06 lakh, ex-showroom. It is not clear whether the customer bought the 7 or 8 seater option.

Toyota Innova Hycross is available in Super White, Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant Grade Bronze Metallic and an exciting new color Blackish Ageha Glass Flake. The one seen here in the video looks like the Super White shade. Toyota Innova Hycross is based on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). It is a monocoque MPV while the Innova Crysta is a ladder-on-frame MPV. The Innova HyCross is a lot more premium in terms of looks and features when compared to Innova Crysta. Toyota Innova Hycross offers features like floating 10 inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital intrument cluster, leather upholstery, front ventialated seats, ambient lights, panoramic sunroof, multi-function steering wheel and so on. Toyota is also offering ADAS. It is the first Toyota in India to get this feature.

The strong hybrid version of Innova Hycross is available with a 2.0 litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor. This set up generates a combined power output of Rs 183 Ps. The strong hybrid version has a claimed fuel economy of 23.24 kmpl which is highest in its segment. The regular petrol version also uses a 2.0 litre petrol engine that generates 171 Ps and it has a claimed economy of Rs 16.13 kmpl. The regular petrol version is paired with a CVT transmission and the strong hybrid version is paired with an e-CVT gearbox. Toyota does not offer a manual gearbox with the Innova Hycross. There is no diesel engine on offer. Toyota however still offers Innova Crysta diesel in the market. The Innova Crysta diesel was relaunched in the market recently and it is available with a manual transmission only.
