The official launch of the newest lifestyle off-roader, Jimny, from the country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is just around the corner on June 7th. The company recently concluded the press drives for the Jimny, during which it also showcased some of the accessories and packages for this forthcoming SUV. These newly presented accessories will help owners enhance the appearance and functionality of their vehicles, making them more distinct and personalized.
One of the biggest highlights of this accessory showcase done by Maruti Suzuki was the “Summit Seeker” package. This particular package was shown by the company in one of its popular launch colors, Electric Yellow. With this package, the company will offer the Jimny with some appearance enhancements that will elevate the rugged design of the Jimny.

First things first, with this package, the company will offer a chrome grille at the front, along with a distinct-looking enhancement piece for the skid plate. Next up, there will be additional door claddings on the side, and some dark chrome treatment with Jimny insignia will also accentuate the rugged design of the SUV. Furthermore, this package will also include door visors and garnish for the ORVM.
On top of this package, the company also showcased a few more goodies for this upcoming SUV, including a full tent setup that can be added on top of the roof rails and a roof-mounted luggage rack on top of the car. Other accessories include a chrome-lined spare wheel cover that resembles the one offered in the popular Mercedes G63 AMG super SUV.
A few custom decals were also shown as part of the accessory range. These decals spell the Jimny moniker in large fonts on the side of the vehicle. On the inside, the company also showcased additional upholstery packages, which include black and brown-colored leather seat covers, helping to alter the appearance of the interior. As of yet, the final pricing on these accessories and packages has not been announced by the brand, but it is believed that the company could offer them at an additional cost of Rs 70,000.
The Jimny, as we are all aware, will be the brand’s newest ladder-on-frame SUV and will feature a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated K15B petrol engine, producing a maximum power output of 105 PS and a maximum torque output of 138 Nm. The engine comes with two transmission choices: a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. The India-spec Jimny will come with Suzuki’s famed AllGrip four-wheel-drive system, which includes a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox.
While prices have yet to be announced, the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny is expected to be priced between Rs 10-14 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and will be a more compact and affordable alternative to off-roaders like the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha. The car, even before its official launch, has created a massive buzz in the country, and it has been revealed that the total bookings figure has crossed over 30,000 units.
