Tata Nexon facelift spotted testing in Ladakh before official launch [Video]

Tata Nexon facelift is soon coming to the Indian market. While before the official launch, we have seen how the facelift will look through spy pictures and leaks, here is one more video that shows the upcoming car without any camouflage. The vehicle was caught in Ladakh doing high-altitude testing.

The video shows the new Tata Nexon facelift driving at high altitude. The car is wearing a new colour, which Tata Motors is expected to introduce with the facelift version of the vehicle.

Even though it is a facelift model, there will be a slew of changes that we will get to see on the car. To start with, there will be massive changes at the front, which means that it looks like a fresh model altogether.

Updated exteriors

Upcoming Tata Nexon facelift

The Tata Nexon facelift has received comprehensive updates to both its front and rear profiles while retaining its distinct crossover-like silhouette. The front profile has been refined, taking inspiration from Tata Motors’ Curvv concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. This version features a split headlamp assembly, with slim daytime running LEDs positioned above and triangular vertical housings for the projector headlamps located on the front bumper.

The front fascia of the Nexon also displays a revised grille, with a slimmer upper grille positioned between the daytime running LEDs, and a larger air dam situated in the centre of the front bumper. The fog lamps and their enclosures boast a new design, as do the 16-inch machined alloy wheels on the sides. The rear profile exudes a sleek appearance, featuring new LED tail lamps connected by an LED light bar that spans the width of the boot lid. The redesigned rear bumper incorporates reverse lamps and rear reflectors on its corners.

Fresh cabin

The cabin of the upcoming Nexon facelift has also been spotted. The interior of the new Tata Nexon departs significantly from the current model, showcasing a fresh layout for the driver’s cockpit and the center console. Starting with the driver’s cockpit, a new TFT instrument console is positioned behind a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel.

The centre console of the dashboard gets a refreshed design, introducing the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system found in the Harrier and Safari models.

New engine

The upcoming Nexon facelift will feature the new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and will also retain the 1.5-litre diesel engine. Tata will not be making any updates to the transmission options, meaning the current 6-speed manual and the 6-speed AMT will carry over to the new model. However, there will be an added alternative within these two options. Tata is set to introduce a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox for the new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
