Apollo Hospital fulfills wish of kid suffering from cancer with Thar ride: Anand Mahindra moved to tears [Video]

We have come across several reports where individuals or groups have shown acts of kindness or fulfilled the wishes of people who were struggling for some reason. Recently, we came across a similar video that even Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, couldn’t refrain from sharing. It was a video featuring a child currently undergoing cancer treatment. This child is highly enthusiastic about the videos and images of the Mahindra Thar. The hospital authorities surprised him by picking him up in a Mahindra Thar for his next trip to the hospital.

The video has been shared by Anand Mahindra himself on X (formerly Twitter). The video was originally shared by Apollo Hospitals Lucknow. The child seen in the video is Master Kartik Singh. He visits the hospital regularly for cancer treatment and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Every time he comes for treatment, he talks a lot about the Mahindra Thar. He is a huge fan of the SUV and even told a couple of doctors at the hospital that he plans to buy a Thar when he grows up.

The hospital has an initiative for such patients, which they call “Nanhee Khwahishen” (small wishes). Kartik wanted to drive or own a Mahindra Thar when he becomes an adult. The hospital authorities then planned a surprise for Kartik. They got in touch with Mahindra and visited a nearby dealership in Lucknow, explaining the whole story to them. The dealership was more than happy to assist. When Kartik’s next chemo session was scheduled, a Mahindra Thar arrived at his home to pick him up.

The car’s cabin was filled with balloons. Kartik was extremely delighted to see the Mahindra Thar. He immediately took the front seat and went to the hospital for his session. The child seemed extremely happy. This is indeed an excellent initiative by Apollo Hospitals, where they fulfill small wishes of cancer patients. This way, patients can enjoy a few happy moments in their lives and temporarily forget about the pain they are enduring. It also provides them with the mental strength to cope with the challenges in their lives.

The child’s parents, featured in the video, were extremely pleased with the efforts made by the hospital authorities to make their son happy. The video quickly went viral on the internet, and Anand Mahindra also shared it online. He wrote, “I’m speechless. Just tears in my eyes. The Mahindra Thar is an extremely popular SUV among enthusiasts in India. The current generation was launched in 2020 and immediately became popular among buyers. It still has a long waiting period today. When it was launched, it was the most affordable 4×4 SUV in India. This SUV is available in both petrol and diesel engine options, and Mahindra also introduced a 4×2 version of the Thar earlier this year.
