Rikant Pitti himself shared the news of his new car on social media. He shared an image of his brand new Lamborghini Urus Performante finished in Verde Viper shade. This is a special Urus, as it is India’s first Urus Performante SUV. Rikant shared a very long post on LinkedIn where he speaks about how he started his business with his brother when he was 16. He started the EaseMyTrip website when he was 20 years old and worked hard to understand the needs and desires of travelers and what needed to change in the existing system. He achieved all of this with the help of the best technology and services.

After many years of hard work, EaseMyTrip is currently the second biggest and most successful online travel company. Rikant mentions in his post that owning a Lamborghini has been a dream of his for 19 years. He mentions that he could have bought the car in 2021 if he wanted to, but he chose to utilize the funds to help others as COVID-19 was affecting many people’s lives. He donated oxygen concentrators to many NGOs and hospitals during this time.
Rikant mentions that this post is not about his fancy car. He wrote, “This Lamborghini isn’t just a car. It represents our hard work, the dreams we’ve made real, and the dreams we’re still chasing. I’m sharing this not to show off, but to inspire others. To show that if you work hard and keep going, you can reach your biggest goals. Every challenge and win is part of your life’s story.”

Performing religious rituals on a brand new car is a tradition in India, and there are many supercar owners who do this. The Lamborghini Urus has been an extremely popular SUV among celebrities and billionaire businessmen since its launch. The Urus Performante version was launched in 2022. It was actually a mid-life refresh for this super SUV. When compared to the older version, the Performante version of the Urus gets a coil spring setup which replaced the air suspension setup.
It also lacks three off-road modes – Sabbia (Sand), Neve (Snow), and Terra (Mud) – but gets a single ‘Rally’ mode in addition to the existing Strada (Street), Sport, and Corsa (Track) modes. It is 16 mm wider and 25 mm longer than the older version. It also sits 20 mm lower than the regular version. It is still powered by a 4.0-liter V8, twin-turbocharged engine that generates 666 PS and 850 Nm of peak torque. The Performante version generates 16 PS more than the older version. The price for a brand new Lamborghini Urus Performante is Rs 4.22 crore, ex-showroom.
