Maruti Suzuki launched the much-awaited Jimny 5-door in India earlier this year. We drove the SUV both on and off the road, and a detailed review of it is available on our website and YouTube channel. Deliveries for the Jimny have also started, and people have actually begun modifying the car as well. There are several examples of modified Jimny SUVs available online. One of the common types of modification we have seen with the Jimny 3-door is the Jimny to G-Wagen conversion. The same is being followed in the 5-door version as well. Here, we have a video of India’s most affordable Jimny to G-Wagen conversion kit.
The video has been uploaded by My Exciting Vlogs on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about the G-Wagen kit that was installed on the Jimny at a workshop in the East Delhi region. The SUV was converted using an aftermarket kit; however, unlike the regular kits available in the market, this one is not too expensive, as it does not replace many of the existing panels. The vlogger introduces the shop owner in the video who explains all the changes made to the car. He starts with the front. The stock grille on the Jimny was replaced with an aftermarket unit. The stock headlamps were also replaced with aftermarket LED units. The design of the headlights is similar to what we see on a G-Wagen.

Other changes included a new grille and bumper. The bumper comes with gloss black elements that go well with the overall white body color. The car does not get any wide body kit. The owner opted for G-Wagen style indicators on the bonnet. He also installed a bonnet scoop, which we have seen in Brabus-tuned cars. The car comes with the same fenders as the stock one; however, the cladding was all painted in the same shade as the body. The ORVMs were painted black, and the roof got a couple of auxiliary lamps on top with a gloss black cover.
The side of the car got beadings that completed the G-Wagen look of the car. The alloy wheels remain the same. As we move to the rear, the rear bumper was also replaced with an aftermarket G-Wagen kit unit. The tail lamps are also new. The spare wheel cover is also similar to the G-Wagen. He even got a sticker on it that says “G63 Mini.” There is a gloss black roof-mounted spoiler as well. The finished product looks extremely clean. The owner opted for exterior customizations only. The execution looks pretty neat, and the body kit definitely changed the overall look. The vlogger mentioned that this was the cheapest or most affordable conversion kit one can buy for the Jimny in India.
If the customer wants, they can only opt for some panels rather than going for the whole kit. The cost of converting the Jimny seen here in the video is around Rs 1.75 lakh. The vlogger mentions that this is the cheapest price for this kit in the entire Delhi.
