Distracted sedan driver crashes into a two-wheeler: Caught on live camera

As we have said a million times before, when driving a four-wheeler or a two-wheeler in India or any other place, being attentive is the most important thing. Recently, two clips have been shared in a video that show the difference between an attentive driver and an inattentive driver. In the video, one driver was seen averting an accident, and the other was seen getting involved in an accident.

Two incidents and two different outcomes

The video of these two incidents has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. In the first video, a dashcam footage shared by one of the followers of the channel shows how a major accident on a highway was avoided. In this clip, a Mahindra Scorpio can be seen overtaking a truck on a national highway in West Bengal. The car with the dashcam was following it. Soon after this, what happens is the Scorpio driver stomps on the brake during the overtake to avoid a collision with a Ford Figo hatchback, which was parked on the right lane of the highway.

attentive driver avoids crash

Soon after this, the car following the Scorpio also manages to avoid the accident with the same Figo. It happened because the driver of the other car was paying attention to the road. Next up, the same video also shows another clip from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In this clip, a Maruti Suzuki Dzire sedan driver did the opposite of the first clip and got into an accident with a stopped two-wheeler. In this particular incident, a rider and a pillion were seen stopped at a roundabout. The Dzire driver then, without noticing them, crashes into the back of their two-wheeler. The rider and the pillion of the scooter then fall from the impact of the crash.

Who was at fault in this accident?

Now, in this second clip’s accident, there is no doubt about the fact that the entire fault was of the Dzire driver. In the video, it can be clearly seen that the scooter rider and pillion stopped at the roundabout, and the car driver should have stopped on time. However, because of being distracted, he was unable to stop at the right time and crashed into the two-wheeler.

What happened afterward?

Inattentive driver causes accident

After the crash, it can be noted that the rider of the two-wheeler gets up. However, the female pillion could not get up on her own because of the direct impact from the car. The driver of the car then immediately gets out of his car and picks up the pillion with the rider. Thankfully, nobody in this accident was severely hurt, and it was stated in the video that the Dzire driver paid the scooter rider for the damages caused by him.

Lesson to be learned

As mentioned above, these two incidents teach us a very important lesson about being alert and attentive while driving or riding. Because the driver of the car in the first incident was extremely alert, he avoided getting into a severe accident. However, just because of the lack of alertness and attentiveness, the second driver was involved in the crash and had to pay an unnecessary price, which he could have easily avoided. So with this, we request each and everyone to please not get distracted while driving or riding any vehicle on the road and keep their eyes and mind on the road.
