Buying a new car is often a significant milestone for many individuals. People frequently wait and save for years to purchase their dream car. Each person who buys a new car celebrates this achievement in different ways. While some throw a party after taking the delivery, others simply take their new car for a long drive. Even dealerships make special arrangements, such as cakes and confetti, to celebrate the occasion. Here, we have a video from Kerala that has gone viral on the internet. In this video, a father from Kerala made everyone in the family wear blue to take delivery of their Volkswagen Virtus in the Blue shade.

The video was shared by Sreelakshmi on her Instagram page. In this video, the social media influencer shares how her father made everyone wear blue because they were taking delivery of a blue Volkswagen Virtus. We see the girl and her mother wearing sarees in two different shades of blue. The two men in the house, including her father, wore blue shirts. It seems that blue is their favorite color because even the house itself is painted in a shade of blue.
The family gets ready and starts driving to the Volkswagen dealership in a Ford Figo Aspire. They reach the dealership in no time, and once they arrive, the father completes all the paperwork. They even cut a cake before taking the delivery. Finally, they reveal the car in the video. The Volkswagen Virtus that the family bought was finished in the Lava Blue shade, an extremely appealing shade of blue. It gives the car a very elegant and premium look. Aside from the Lava Blue shade, Volkswagen also offers the sedan in another Blue shade called Rising Blue. The Lava Blue looks better as it has a hint of green in it.
After taking the delivery, the car was driven out of the dealership, and the family happily drove their new car home. The Volkswagen Virtus is one of the popular sedans available in the market. It is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which is used in many other Volkswagen and Skoda products. The platform is specifically tweaked to make it suitable for Indian conditions. Virtus, Taigun, Skoda Slavia, and Kushaq are all part of the Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 strategy.
The Volkswagen Virtus is a premium midsize sedan that competes with cars like Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Skoda Slavia in the segment. It is available with a decent number of features like a touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a multi-function steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, cruise control, and more. Volkswagen is offering the Virtus in two engine options. There is a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The next engine option on offer is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This version is called the GT variant, and it is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission option. It is not clear whether the family bought the GT variant or the regular 1.0-liter TSI version. The price for the Volkswagen Virtus starts at Rs 11.48 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 19.29 lakh, ex-showroom.
