Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam buys a used Lamborghini Aventador supercar: Gets trolled with ‘Taarzan wonder car’

Reports have emerged that former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam recently acquired a purple Lamborghini Aventador in his hometown of Lahore. A viral photo on social media platforms depicts Babar Azam posing alongside the purple Aventador. While many are congratulating the top-order Pakistani batsman on his new sports car, others are drawing comparisons between the Aventador and the “Tarzan: The Wonder Car” from a popular Bollywood movie due to their similar exterior color.

In the circulating picture across internet platforms, Babar Azam is seen posing with a purple Lamborghini Aventador, with the driver’s side door raised. The specific version of the Aventador that Babar reportedly added to his car collection remains unspecified. However, after the image went viral, numerous individuals began associating it with the domestically produced sports car “Tarzan” from a notable Bollywood film of the past.

Given the purple exterior paint shade shared with “Tarzan,” many likened the Aventador to a reincarnated version of the former. The internet was flooded with comments and memes connecting the Aventador to “Tarzan,” a car originally designed for the Bollywood movie by renowned Indian automobile designer Dilip Chhabria. Considering Lamborghini ceased production of the Aventador in 2022 with the Ultimae edition, it appears that Babar has added a pre-owned Lamborghini Aventador to his car collection. Lamborghini discontinued the model in 2022 after a decade of selling the vehicle.

Apart from the Aventador, Babar Azam’s luxury car collection includes an Audi A5, Audi e-Tron GT, and Hyundai Sonata. The A5 was his initial luxury car, and he received a white e-Tron GT as a gift from family members this year. Additionally, Babar Azam owns a BAIC BJ40, a Chinese SUV bearing a striking resemblance to the Jeep Wrangler and Mahindra Thar.

Lamborghini Aventador

Introduced in 2012 as a successor to the Murcielago, the Lamborghini Aventador featured a completely new bodywork and interior while retaining the iconic 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 petrol engine from its predecessor. Over the years, the Aventador underwent various facelifts, updates, and limited-edition versions before its discontinuation in 2022, eventually making way for the all-new Revuelto, Lamborghini’s inaugural full-hybrid sportscar. All versions of the Aventador, including the final Ultimae, found buyers in India.
