Tata Nexon AMT Becomes More Affordable: Prices Inside

Tata Motors has introduced new variants with automated manual transmission (AMT) for the Tata Nexon SUV, aimed at enhancing the compact SUV’s appeal. These new variants are available at competitive starting prices, starting from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Nexon Petrol AMT variant now offers options in Smart Plus, Pure, and Pure S trims, providing customers with a variety of choices to suit their preferences and requirements. On the other hand, the Nexon Diesel AMT variant is now offered in Pure and Pure S trims, offering more affordable options for diesel enthusiasts, with a starting price of Rs 11.80 lakh.

Previously, the Diesel AMT variant was only available in higher trims like Creative and above, making it less accessible to some customers. However, with these new changes, Tata has made the Diesel AMT variant more accessible and affordable, expanding its reach to a wider audience.

Here are the prices for the new Tata Nexon variants with AMT:

– Nexon Petrol Smart Plus: Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom)
– Nexon Petrol Pure: Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
– Nexon Petrol Pure S: Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom)
– Nexon Diesel Pure: Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom)
– Nexon Diesel Pure S: Rs 12.30 lakh (ex-showroom)

Under the hood, the Nexon offers a choice between two powerful engines: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 118 Bhp of peak power  and 170 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 113 Bhp of peak power and a massive 260 Nm of torque. Both the engines can be paired with a six speed manual or a six speed AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission). For those who like to take full control, the automatic version comes with paddle shifters.

The Nexon’s exterior features a bold design language with a sharp front grille, sleek LED headlights, and high ground clearance for a commanding presence. Distinctive elements include 16-inch alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna. The option for dual-tone colour combinations adds a touch of personalization. For improved visibility, projector headlamps with automatic function (on higher trims) are offered. Additionally, rain-sensing wipers (on higher trims) are added for increased convenience.

The Nexon’s interior boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, music playback, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity. Automatic climate control ensures consistent temperature throughout the cabin. A panoramic sunroof (on select trims) creates an airy feel. For added comfort, features like a wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats (on higher trims), and rear AC vents are also available.

Safety is a major selling point of the Nexon. It has been awarded a 5-star rating by Global NCAP, making it one of the safest cars in its segment. The Nexon comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and a host of other safety features to keep the occupants protected.

Priced at Rs. 8.15 lakhs for the base trim and Rs. 15.60 lakhs for the top, Tata Nexon rivals MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 300. Tata has recently launched Nexon Dark Edition, which is priced at Rs. 11.45 lakhs and Rs. 15.80 lakhs. All the prices mentioned are ex-showroom. With these new variants, Tata aims to cater to the diverse needs of customers and strengthen Nexon’s position as one of the top choices in the compact SUV segment.
