We have seen several instances in the past where people intentionally jump in front of vehicles in a bid to extort money. People even intentionally crash their vehicles into others to claim insurance and commit other scams. However, here we have a video where a girl was seen standing in the middle of the road with a scooter rider, threatening to jump in front of passing vehicles.
The video has been shared by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. It was then shared by one of his subscribers online. The video was recorded on the dash camera of his subscriber’s car. As the person was driving on a fairly vacant highway, he was maintaining a good speed.
As he approached a small curve, he spotted a scooter in the middle of the road. There was a man on the scooter, and right next to him was a woman standing on the road. The driver was confused after seeing the woman on the road, and he decided to slow down.
He slowly passed the woman and stopped the car after passing. It looked like the scooter rider and woman standing on the road were a couple and they probably had a fight. The woman might have gotten down from the scooter and might have threatened to either jump in front of the passing vehicles or probably not move from her spot.
We do not know the exact reason why she was standing in that manner. Whatever the reason may be, standing like this in the middle of the road is extremely dangerous. If a vehicle coming at high speed misses to spot the woman, the chances of it hitting her are pretty high. In that case, the locals would blame the driver, as seen in many past instances.
Once again, we would like to bring your attention to the fact that public roads and highways are meant for everyone and are not a place to resolve personal issues. If the woman really had any problems with the man, they should have ideally stopped on the roadside and resolved the issue.
Standing in the middle of the road is extremely dangerous, and the couple is not just risking their lives but also the lives of other road users. The scooter rider is also on the wrong side of the road, which is again concerning.
It does not look like a scam where people jump in front of approaching vehicles to extort money. In this case, the dash camera in the car helped him a lot. If the car had crashed into the woman, he at least had proof on his part to prove his innocence.
