In the first quarter of FY2024 (April-June), Maruti sold 26,638 units. In the next quarter, Maruti sold 36,839 units. In the third quarter, this figure dropped to 30,916, and in the fourth quarter, Maruti sold 40,342 units.

Well-Priced

Being based on the Baleno has helped Maruti Suzuki price the Fronx competitively. The Fronx is available in Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha trims. The price for a brand new Fronx starts at Rs 7.51 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 13.04 lakh, ex-showroom. It is priced lower than other sub-4 meter SUVs in this segment.

This is the same 1.0-liter BoosterJet engine that was once offered with the Baleno RS. The engine was discontinued due to emission norms but is now compliant with current government regulations. It is currently one of the most fun-to-drive cars from Maruti Suzuki.

Feature-Rich

For a Maruti, the Fronx comes with several premium features. Maruti has been offering features like a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, HUD, automatic climate control, and more. Maruti is offering two petrol engine options with the Fronx. There is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine offered with a manual and AMT gearbox option. The 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine is offered with a manual and 6-speed automatic transmission option.

The Maruti Fronx is also going to be the first car from the manufacturer to get Series Hybrid technology. The same tech will also be introduced in upcoming models like the next-generation Maruti Swift and Dzire. A rebadged version of Maruti Fronx is also sold by Toyota by the name Taisor.
