Just a few weeks ago, Toyota launched the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India. The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has now started arriving at dealerships across the country. Recently, showing one such top-spec variant, a video has been shared online. The video highlights all the pricing differences between the Fronx and the Urban Cruiser Taisor.
The video of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor in-depth walkaround and pricing has come courtesy of Salahcar from YouTube. It starts with the presenter mentioning that this particular car is the top-of-the-line V variant of the Taisor. Next up, he states that there are 5 variants of the Taisor. These are namely – E, S, S+, G, and V.
Urban Cruiser Taisor: Pricing
Following the introduction, the vlogger starts with the pricing of the vehicle. He states that the base E variant starts at Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Next up, he states that this particular top-spec V variant has been priced at Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom). He adds that he’s in Gurgaon and the on-road price for this variant is Rs 14.80 lakh.
After this, he highlights that although the variants are nearly the same as the Fronx, there have been some variants which have not been offered with the Taisor. This includes the CNG option for the higher-spec variant. He states that the CNG is only offered with the base-spec variant of the Taisor.
Next up, he highlights that in the Fronx, the middle variant also gets the option of getting the 1.0-litre petrol turbo engine. However, with the Taisor, the S+ variant does not get this option. The 1.0-litre turbo engine is only offered with the top-spec G and V variants.
Moving on, he mentions that when compared to Fronx’s naturally aspirated petrol variants, the Taisor is Rs 22,000 more expensive. On the other hand, when the base CNG variant is compared, it is Rs 25,000 more expensive. Currently, interestingly, there is no difference between the pricing of the top-spec variants.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: Exterior and interior design
Next up, the presenter starts with the in-depth walkaround of the Taisor. He states that it features a few exterior design differences when compared to the Fronx. At the front, the Taisor gets a honeycomb pattern grille. It also gets a set of new LED DRLs.
The main trio-LED headlights have been kept the same as the Fronx. The front bumper also gets a good-looking silver finish at the bottom. On the side profile, this crossover gets the same 16-inch size for the alloy wheels.
However, the design has been changed to 10-spoke dual-tone color to differentiate the two models. Next up, he shows the rear of the car and states that it looks exactly the same except for the badges and LED connected taillights.
Following the exterior, the presenter shows the interior of the car. He states that generally with the rebadged versions, Toyota slightly changes the interior theme. However, this time around it has been kept the exact same.
The Toyota Taisor in terms of features comes equipped with the same 9-inch Smartplay floating touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets a 360-degree camera, wireless charger, head-up display, automatic climate control system, and a few other features.
