Amidst the Coronavirus outbreak around the world, Indis is under a lockdown till 14th April 2020. This has massively impacted many businesses including the automobile market. Since the showrooms are closed and social distancing is recommended even in the coming months, Tata Motors has come up with a unique initiative. The manufacturer will now allow customers to buy cars online and will home deliver the vehicle, just like any other product ordered from e-commerce websites.

Tata Motors has announced that they will now deliver the cars to the customer’s doorstep. Tata has said that the customers can now browse the cars online on their website and book the car of their choice online. After the booking is confirmed, a dealership of your choice will contact you to get through the process.

The dealership officials will help you to get the best offers, price quotation, financing options, and even an estimate on your old car. The sales consultants will use digital mediums like email, video chat and WhatsApp to keep in touch and guide you through your next car purchase. You can even apply for loans online and other financing options online. When the sales process is complete, the customer will get an option of picking up the car from the dealership or can get it home delivered. The online process is now working and you can order your next Tata vehicle sitting at home!

While many car manufacturers now offer an online booking facility, this is the first instance of home delivering the vehicle. Yes, you may not get to test drive the vehicle or feel the fit and finish of the vehicle online but it sure is a step ahead. Earlier, Tata announced that they will now offer car test drives at the doorstep. However, for the delivery of the vehicle, customers will not be able to do self Pre-delivery inspection, which can be a major dealbreaker for enthusiastic customers.
