American SUV manufacturer Jeep had released a teaser image of the Night Eagle edition of Compass SUV on their twitter account earlier this month. Now, the manufacturer has officially launched the limited edition version of Compass in the market. This has been launched as part of Jeep Compass’ third year anniversary in the country. Prices for the Night Eagle edition starts at Rs 20.14 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 23.31 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and is based on the recently introduced Longitude Plus variant.
Announcing the Night Eagle Global Limited Edition, Dr. Partha Datta – President and Managing Director, FCA India said,
Our 3rd anniversary celebrations of the Jeep Compass wouldn’t have been complete without something exclusive for our customers. The ‘Night Eagle’ is not just an ordinary version of the Compass. It is a Global Limited Edition that is being introduced in India as it is in other countries across the world. We will be producing only 250 units of the Night Eagle to maintain ownership exclusivity for our customers. Online bookings are open.

As mentioned above only 250 units of the same will be sold in India and the Longitude Plus variant will continue to be sold in the market after Night Eagle version has completed its market cycle. On the outside, Jeep Night Eagle edition accentuated black Jeep badging on the front and rear. gloss black finish or the front grille, gloss black roof and an all black 18 inch alloy wheel. It is available in four colour options – Vocal White, Exotica Red, Brilliant Black and Magnesio Grey.
Moving inside, the black theme is retained here as well. It gets all black techno leather seats along with gloss black accents at places on the dashboard and centre console. It offers other features like touchscreen infotainment screen, 4 airbags, ABS, traction control, ESC, HSA, reverse parking camera, keyless entry, Engine start/stop button and so on.
The petrol version of Night Eagle edition is powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged engine generating 162 Ps, 250 Nm torque mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox in 4×2 configuration. The diesel version is available with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine generating 173 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual in 4×2 configuration and a 9-speed automatic in 4×4 configuration.
